      This week’s pres­i­den­tial debate is a per­fect exam­ple of the devo­lu­tion of our soci­ety and cul­ture. Being smart is now dumb. Being well informed is now elit­ist. And debat­ing about sub­stan­tive issues is too dif­fi­cult for Amer­i­cans to comprehend.
